Day 1 - Chennai

Arrival at the Chennai International Airport in the evening, where you’re met with our representative. Transfer to the hotel and check-in. Stay overnight.

Day 2 - Chennai / Mahabalipuram

After breakfast, head on a half-day tour of Chennai, formerly known as Madras. Fort of St.George, Marina Beach, Kapaleeswarar Temple,  Victoria Art Gallery, Bronze Gallery and Madras Museum. Also visit St. Mary's Church, the oldest Anglican Church in Asia, which was constructed in 1680 AD.

Drive to Mahabalipuram (1 hour approx ) in the afternoon. Check-in to the hotel and the rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 3 - Mahabalipuram

Have an early breakfast and proceed to visit Kanchipuram, the Golden City of Temples. Out of the original 1000 temples that were constructed over centuries, 125 still remain. Kanchipuram is also famous for its hand-woven silk fabrics.

In the afternoon, visit the coastal port Mahabalipuram that is adorned with numerous sculptures and temples in the South Indian style of architecture. Also see the famous Shore Temple. Return to hotel to rest, spend the evening at the beach. Stay overnight.

Day 4 – Mahabalipuram – Tanjore

After breakfast depart for Tanjore ( 6-7 hours approx) and check-in to hotel on arrival. Rest of the evening at leisure. Overnight in hotel.

Day 5 - Tanjore/ Madurai

Wake up to the beautiful city and proceed to the ancient Bridhdiswara Temple which is now a World Heritage Monument. In the evening drive to Madhurai ( 4 hours approx) and visit the famous temple town of Trichy on the way. Visit the renowned Rock Fort and Ranganath Swami Temple there near Srirangam by the Cauvery river.

Proceed towards Madhurai, check-in at the hotel and stay overnight.

Day 6 - Madurai

Welcome to the bustling city of Madurai, start your day with a visit to the Meenakshi temple which is one of the largest temple complexes in India. Also visit the Tirumala Nayak palace where a 48 foot tall pillar holds the roof arcade.

Return to the hotel to unwind. You can also witness the elaborate Aarti ceremony at the Meenakshi temple in the evening. Rest of the day at leisure. Stay overnight.

Day 7 - Madurai – Thekkady

After breakfast depart for Thekkady (5-6 hrs drive approx) famously known as the Spice Village of India, located on the Tamil Nadu & Kerala border. Enjoy the beautiful landscape as your drive through the mountains and the spice and tea gardens. On reaching Thekkar, also called Periyar, check into a luxurious resort near the famous Wildlife Sanctury. There is boating facility at Thekkady where the boat will take you around the Wildlife Sanctuary through the Periyar Lake. One can also see wild animals during this boat ride.

Return to the resort and stay overnight.

Day 4 - Thekkady to Kumarakom

Embark on a 5 hour road journey to Kumarakom after breakfast and check-out. On arrival check-in to a plush hotel and retire for the day. A small settlement, nestled in the backwaters, Kumarakom is makes for an ideal getaway to relax at leisure. Located near the waterways of the Bird Sanctuary at Vembanad lake, it offers a scenic view of the beautiful surroundings. The rest of the day is free for you to trek around, we also recommend a boat trip on the lake to enjoy the backwaters that Kerela is so famous for.

Overnight in Kumarakom.

Day 5 - Kumarakom

Begin your day with a scrumptious breakfast and put your feet up to relax for the rest of the day. Spend your day, relaxing with a recommended Ayurvedic massage and other facilities.

Kerala is known for the variety of traditional therapeutic massages, which are both relaxing and healing and are indigenous to this region. An herbal oil massage to relax the nerves as well as the muscles is very rejuvenating. This treatment uses aromatherapy and medicinal oils. It is an ancient the natural way to refresh yourself, eliminate all toxic imbalances from the body and thus regain resistance and good health.

Stay overnight in Kumarakom.

Day 6 - Kumarakom - Alleppey

After breakfast, take a boatride to the Main Jetty to head to a Kettuvallom (house boat). Explore the backwaters on a cruise along the lakes and canals to Alleppey. Lunch, snacks and dinner on board. The coastal town of Alleppey is known as the “Venice of the East”. The boats are comfortablely furnished with an open lounge, bedrooms with attached baths and a kitchenette, and also manned with service staff. Overnight on board.

Day 7 - Alleppey - Cochin

After breakfast, return to the Main Jetty point and leave for Cochin by road ( 1 ½ hours approx). Upon arrival in Cochin check into the hotel, rest of the day is free for independent activities

A Kathakali dance show at the Cochin Cultural Centre, of the spectacular traditional art form, is recommended. The cultural centre also hosts a Kalaripayattu (martial arts) show along with early morning sessions of sitar and mritham music.

Day 8 - Cochin

Enjoy an early breakfast at the hotel before starting an exciting first day in the city! A morning tour of the city that is also known as the ‘Queen of the Arabian Sea’, with it’s magnificent harbours and islands connected by beautiful bridges and breezy ferry rides. The architectural richness of the buildings connect it to its historical past of traders from Portugal and China. Visit the Jewish Synagogue, the Dutch Palace and St. Francis Church, one the oldest European churches in India. A walk near the shore to visit the fishing shores to look at the elaborate Chinese fishing net structures called ‘Cheenavala’, that were introduced to India by Kublai Khan.

Overnight in Cochin.

Day 9 - Cochin/ Bangalore ( fly)/ Hassan (drive)

This morning you will be transfer to airport to board an early flight to Bangalore. On arrival, proceed on a quick city tour to visit the Lal Bagh, Cubbon Park, Bull Temple, Government Museum and Vidhana Soudha.

Then, after lunch drive to Hassan (5 ½ hours approx). Uopon arrival, check-in to the hotel and stay overnight.

On arrival at Bangalore at 0835 hrs proceed for a quick city tour of Bangalore.

Day 10 - In Hassan

Wake up the beautiful city Hassan, located on the banks of the river YagachiIt derives its name from Goddess Haasanamba, the main deity of the region, and is a home to a many temples. The famous Chennakesava Temple Complex is located in Belur in Hassan. Visit the Veeranarayana Temple and also Shravanabelagola, a place of worship for Jains.

In the evening head to Halebid to visit The Hoysaleswara Temple. Stay overnight in Hassan.

Day 11 - Hassan – Mysore

After breakfast depart by surface to Mysore (2-3 hours approx). Upon arrival check in at the hotel.

Rest of the day is at leisure. Stay overnight.

Day 12 - In Mysore

After breakfast proceed for a half day city tour of Mysore. Begin with the magnificient Mysore Palace, also known as the Amba Vilas Palace, with its glamourous carved wooden doors and mosaic floors. The interiors are a kaleidoscope of stained glass, mirrors, gilt and gaudy colors. Also take a tour of the beautiful Garden.

Return to the hotel to rest. Rest of the evening at leisure. Stay overnight.

Day 13 - Mysore/ Bangalore

After breakfast, head to the Bangalore (3-4 hours approx) airport to catch your flight onwards. Visit Srirangapatnam enroute. It is the island fortress of the legendary warrior king Tipu Sultan. Also visit Daria Daulat Bagh, his Summer Palace located just 1 km away.

Arrive in Bangalore and move straight to the international airport.
