Day 1: Arrival

Upon arrival, check-in to your hotel with assited transfer. Put your legs up and sleep off the jet lag. Head to Circular Quay to get a fantastic view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Stroll to  the Sydney Opera House and The Rocks. If you have time, take the ferry from Circular Quay to Manly beach and round off a fairly easy day with fish and chips. Overnight in Sydney.

Day 2: Sydney

Start with a ride to the top of the Sydney Tower to experience Skywalk, Sydney’s highest open-air attraction and see a paranomic view of the city’s landscape. Head to Taronga Zoo, the Sydney Aquarium, the Australian Museum, the Australian National Maritime Museum and the Powerhouse Museum. Wrap up the day at Sydney Harbour Bridge. Stay overnight.

Day 3: The Blue Mountains

Take the train from Central Station to Katoomba to explore the beauty of the Blue Mountains (2 hours approx). On arrival take the Blue Mountains Explorer bus to see Three Sister rock formations, the Scenic World and a cable car adventures. At the end of the day, head back to Sydney for dinner at the harbour. Overnight in Sydney.

Day 4: Sydney/Cairns

Take an early flight to Cairns (3 hours approx), check-in to the hotel and head out to explore the city. Visit the Cairne Wildlife Dome, atop the Hotel Sofitel Reef Casino. Visit the Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park to learn about Aboriginal culture and life. Or, take the Tjapukai by Night tours to see traditional ceremonies, including dinner and a fire-and-water outdoor show.

Day 5: A Day Trip to the Reef

Leave for a day trip to the Great Barrier Reef at the Reef Fleet Terminal (2 hours approx). Take a diving tour to experience the wonder of the corals. You can also take a scenic flight but divers must 24 hours before flying. Instead ride the glass-bottom boats and soak up the sun at the beach. After returning to Cairns, take a stroll along the Esplanade. Stay overnight.

Day 6: Kuranda

Take a trip to the beautiful mountain village of Kuranda aboard the steam train along the Kuranda Scenic Railway, past waterfalls and gorges. Take the Kuranda Riverboat Tour, return on the Skyrail cableway, which carries you over the rainforest (you can get to ground level at a couple of stations on the way) to the edge of Cairns.

Day 7: Departure

In the morning, head to the airport for your flight to Sydney. Treat yourself to dinner at a restaurant overlooking the harbour, overlooking the Opera House before heading to the airport to catch a flight to your next destination.
